Leicestershire and Rutland League 

Oakham 1sts lost at home by 1 wicket to Newtown Linford 1sts with the 2nds losing by 28 runs away to Barrow Town 2nds. The 3rds won at home by 4 wickets against Houghton & Thurnby 4th XI. Jack Seaton taking 5 wickets in a row in two separate spells and ending up with six and for the first time the Chairman guiding them home. 

League doubles as Uppingham Town 1sts beat visitors Langtons 1sts by 6 wickets to keep their promotion hopes alive with the 3rds having a 54-run win at Market Overton 2nds. Ickey Singh with 130 not out.

Wakerley and Barrowden 1sts won by 10 runs after dismissing their hosts Egerton Park 3rds for 101. 

Lincolnshire Premier Cricket League

Burghley Park 1sts lost by 6 runs at Bracebridge Heath 1sts. The 2nds beaten by 8 wickets at Long Sutton 1sts. 

Ketton Sports 1sts game was conceded by Grantham 2nds, whilst the 2nds lost at home to Spalding 2nds by 59 runs.

Uffington 1sts beat Billingborough 2nds at home by 7 wickets and Stamford Town 2nds ended their season with a 10 wicket win and league double at Castor & Ailsworth 2nds who were dismissed for 92.

Rutland League

Division 1 sees Uppingham Town remain top of Division 1 despite losing by 5 runs at Peterborough Town 1sts, who do have a game in hand and now are only three points behind them, whilst Uffington 1sts lost by 211 runs at Newborough 1sts who have gone second above Peterborough Town 1sts who they go to next weekend.

Burghley Park 1sts lost by 8 wickets at Ufford Park 1sts so remain next to bottom.

To Division 4 and Uffington 2nds won for only the second time with a 4-run win at home over Royal Strikers 1sts.    

Oakham 1sts have retained their Division 2 status following the relegation of Northampton Saints 1sts who conceded their final fixture resulting in a 30-point deduction. 

Grantham and Melton Cricket Association Division 2

Burghley Park 2nds lost at Croxton Kerrial 1sts by 26 runs.

League double for Stamford Town 2nds as they beat Market Overton 1sts at home by 67 runs. Tim Juggins with 137 for them.

Women’s Football

Stamford AFC lost their East Midlands Regional Premier Division opener 1-0 at home to Lincoln.

FA Cup debut saw Oakham United go through to the Second Round Qualifying after winning 4-2 on penalties at home against Dunton and Broughton. It was 3-3 at full time. Zina Cheikh double and a goal from new signing Chloe Corado.
