Congratulations to Uppingham Town 1sts who have won promotion to Premier 1 after winning at second placed Asian Sports 1sts by 27 runs. Captain Hayden Brough making 178 not out. The 3rds lost at home by 138 runs to Electricity Sports 4th X1.
Oakham 1sts lost by 178 runs at Sileby Town 1sts. Better news as the 2nds won by 8 wickets at home over Long Whatton 1sts to complete the double with Sean Cowley 101 not out. The 3rds had 52-run victory and double at Syston Town 3rds as Tom Clifton took 5-24.
Market Overton 2nds lost by 4 wickets at Barkby United 3rds with Wakerley and Barrowden 1sts, despite Pete Vernon taking 6-62 beaten by 199 runs by visitors Daman Iconz 3rds.
Lincolnshire Premier Cricket League
Burghley Park 1sts ended their season with a home win by 174 runs with Pete Foster making 108 against Grimsby Town 1sts.
Uffington 1sts in their last game secured a double over Castor & Ailsworth 2nds by 10 wickets after they were bowled out for 51. Nathan Botes taking 5-3.
Ketton Sports 1sts beat visitors Boston 1sts by 6 wickets with Fredie Fenton taking 5-27. The 2nds game was abandoned at Skegness 2nds
Rutland League
In Division 1, Uppingham Town saw their title hopes evaporate in their final game as they lost at Barnack 1sts by 4 wickets and saw them avoid relegation. Uppingham Town replaced at the top by Newborough 1sts.
With Barnack 1sts winning, it is Burghley Park 1sts who are relegated despite them beating Uffington 1sts, already down away by 183 runs with Mohammed Azhar taking 6-23.
To Division 3 and Stamford Town 1sts finished with a 6 wicket win at home against Werrington 2nds.
Ketton Sports 1sts remain second in Division 4 after beating Peterborough Town 2nds by 5 wickets. This was after they had dismissed the visitors for 100. They will now have to wait to see if Oundle Town 1sts overhaul them next weekend.
Grantham and Melton Cricket Association Division 2
Burghley Park 2nds ended their season with a 34-run home defeat to Stamford Town 2nds. Market Overton 1sts ended their campaign with visitors Quorn 1sts conceding the fixture.
Women’s Football
Stamford AFC have suffered back-to-back defeats in the Midlands Regional Premier Division after losing 3-1 at Newport Pagnell Town. Hollie Slaymaker with their goal.
Oakham United started their first league season in Division 1 Central with a 3-2 defeat to visitors Basford United. Zina Cheikh and Remmie Ferla with their goals.
Deeping Rangers in their Cambridgeshire League Division 1 opener drew 1-1 at home to Soham Town Rangers with Gabriele Bieliauskaite scoring for them.
