Final fixtures saw a home win for Burghley Park 2nds by 4 wickets over Freiston L&L 1sts, Ketton Sports 1sts lost at home to Bourne 2nds by 6 wickets with the 2nds winning by 2 runs at Boston 2nds with their hosts last 5 wickets falling for just 3 runs.
Rutland League
Uffington 2nds although bottom of Division 4 finished on a high in their last game of the season as they won by 78 runs against Moulton Harrox 1sts. Jon Dalley with 101 followed up by Dave Conlon taking 5-11.
With Oundle Town 1sts beating Kettering Town 1sts by 4 wickets, Ketton Sports 1sts have missed out on coming second and promotion from Division 4.
Football
Leicester City drew 1-1 at Barnsley. Liam Cullen had put them ahead, whilst Peterborough United were beaten 2-0 by visitors Doncaster Rovers.
The Daniels are still without a point after losing 3-0 at home to Bishop’s Stortford, 0-0 at the break.
Peterborough and District League Premier Division saw home wins for Uppingham Town, 4-0 over Eye Rangers. One each for Sam Blackwell, Sam Eldridge, James Howe and Max Walker. Daniel Reserves beat Warboys Town 2-0 thanks to Elliot Feetham and Jay Waldren. Leaders, Deeping Rangers Reserves were 2-0 winners at Leverington Sports with Oakham United losing 5-3 away to YDP. Goals for Matt Jarvis with two and Mitch Tomkin.
In Division 1, Stamford Bells beat Glinton & Northborough away 5-1. Reece Darby double and one each for Jack Corby, Sam Ford and Lewis Morley.
Ketton Sports Premiair went down 2-0 in the Challenge Cup at Thorpe Wood Rangers.
Bourne Town lost 1-0 away to Coleshill Town in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
United Counties Premier Division North saw Blackstones draw 0-0 at Kimberley Miners Welfare and Deeping Rangers get their first league win, 4-0 at home over Gresley Rovers. Will Barnes, Ryan Cook, Ben Greenacre and Jack Wilson on target.
Cottesmore, holders of the Everards Tigers League Cup have gone out at home in the 1st Round, 2-1 to Glen Villa. Josh Clark with the goal.
Women’s Football
FA Cup Second Round Qualifying saw Stamford AFC win a seven-goal thriller at home, 4-3 over Loughborough Foxes Vixens to make it through to the next round. A Tara Parker hat-trick and Bryony Fox with the other.
They will be joined in the draw by Oakham United, who beat visitors Thrapston FC, 3-2 thanks to a Zina Cheikh double and Emma Couzens.
Deeping Rangers have drawn for the second week running. This time 2-2 at Cambridge City U23 in the Cambridgeshire League Division 1.
