Uppingham Town 1sts lost at home by 8 wickets to Barkby United 1sts, whilst better news at home for the 3rds with a 10 wicket win over Wakerley & Barrowden 1sts.
Market Overton 1sts, thanks to James Toghill 115 not out and 110 from Joe Peveritt saw them beat Houghton n) & Thurnby 3rds at home by 191 runs with the 2nds losing by 194 runs at Leicester Eagles 1sts.
Lincolnshire Premier Cricket League
A good afternoon for Burghley Park, the 1sts winning at home by 132 runs against Bracebridge Heath 1sts, whilst the 2nds beat Market Deeping 2nds away by 5 wickets.
Ketton Sports 1sts lost by 130 runs away at Orton Park 1sts with the 2nds having a home win by 54 runs over Freiston L&L 2nds.
Innings of the day came from Captain Jonathan Dalley of Uffington 1sts with 167 not out, 20 4’s and 7 6’s as they beat visitors Stamford Town 2nds by 111 runs.
Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire League Premier Division 3
Stamford Town 1sts lost by 14 runs at home to Foxton Granta 2nds.
Rugby
Northampton Saints secured their second Gallagher English Premiership title at Twickenham in two years as they ran out the victors by 26 points to 17 against Exeter Chiefs. Two second half tries from George Hendy in quick succession being crucial to the win and providing the icing on the cake to a superb season for the Saints.

Rutland League
Burghley Park 1sts won at home by 32 runs against Barnack 1sts and Uppingham Town bounced back from last week’s defeat winning at Ufford Park 1sts by 81 runs with Hayden Brough posting 166 in Division 1.
Oakham 1sts returned to winning ways as they beat visitors next to bottom Wellingborough Indians 1sts in Division 2 by 148 runs with Oakham opener Izzan Shaikh making 126 not out including 20x4’s.
Stamford Town 1sts, 2nd in Division 3 made it three wins in a row away at Whittlesey 1sts as they won by 125 runs. Tim Juggins scoring his fourth Rutland League century of the season, 100 not out this time.
To Division 4 and Uffington 2nds recorded their first win of the season with a 193-run victory at home against Kettering 1sts who they bowled out for 100. Opener, Bob Cornish laid the foundation making 119 not out, 17 4’s and 2 6’s.
Ketton Sports 1sts took the last five wickets of their hosts Moulton Harrox 1sts for just 11 runs to snatch victory by 8 runs.
Grantham and Melton Cricket Association Division 2
Burghley Park 2nds went down to a 142-run defeat away at 2nd placed Ashby Carington 1sts, whilst Market Overton 1sts made it three wins on the bounce by 85 runs at Croxton Kerrial 1sts.

Market Overton Women 1sts remain without win and bottom of East Midlands Women’s Cricket League Division 1 South after losing at home by 5 wickets to Ockbrook & Borrowash 1sts.
