The weather once again resulted in several football fixtures being postponed. So here we go with the games that went ahead.
Leicester City made it back-to-back wins in the Championship with a 2-1 win over high flying Stoke City. The Foxes goals coming from Stephy Mavididi and Patson Daka
In the Premier Division of the Peterborough and District League, Oakham United pulled off the result of the day as they ended leaders Netherton United’s unbeaten league run with a 3-0 away win thanks to goals from Joe Hatherill, Matthew Pope and Charlie Willis.
Bourne Town lost 3-2 at Boldmere St Michaels in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division. This was after leading 2-0 at half-time through a Sam Bayly brace. The hosts winner coming in stoppage time.
United Counties Premier Division North saw Blackstones lose 3-1 away at 3rd placed Sherwood Colliery. Will Bestwick with the goal.
Deeping Rangers after drawing 1-1, Harvey Thorne with the goal in normal time at Louth Town are out of the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy at the quarter-final stage going down 8-7 on penalties.
Cottesmore lost 3-1 at home to Burbage & Huncote in the Everards Brewery Premier Division. After Cottesmore had a Josh Clark goal disallowed on 15 minutes, the visitors took the lead on 39 minutes. Two goals in two minutes midway through the second half made it 3-0 with substitute Oli Troth getting a consolation goal in the 84th minute.
Women’s Football
Stamford AFC maintained their recent cup form with a 1-0 victory at SJR Worksop in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Premier Division. Weronika Kruszyna with her debut goal for the club early in the first half.
Deeping Rangers picked up their first win in the league since September, 3-2 at Royston Town Development in the Cambridgeshire Women’s Division 1. The goals coming from a Yas Green double and Ali Stokoe.

Rugby
Stamford went down by 36 points to 13 away at top of the table Market Harborough in Regional 2 Midlands East.
Counties 1 Midlands East (North) saw Bourne bounce back from defeat last time out as they beat bottom side Ashby 28-0. The result sees them up to 3rd.
To Counties 3 Midlands East Division (South North) and Oakham suffered a 38-12 defeat at Rugby Welsh in awful weather. Lewis Crellin with a try and conversion and a Mike Browning try with their points.
Stamford College Old Boys 100% home league record has gone as they lost 20-5 to Market Harborough 2nds. Alex Walker scoring the try for the Old Boys.
Deepings away game was a Home Walk Over at March Bears in the Eastern Counties Greene King Division One West.
Women’s Rugby
Stamford Women 1sts made it two wins on the bounce at home as they beat bottom side West Norfolk Warriors Ladies by 22 points to nil in the Women's NC 1 East league. Tries for Holly Crewe, Catelyn Etherington, Jess Gargan and Georgia McKinley plus a Liberty Ashdown conversion.
