Leicester City won 3-1 at Derby County in the Championship. Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Jordan James and Oliver Skipp on target.

Peterborough United lost 1-0 at home to Barnsley and are out of the FA Cup.

The Daniels made it back-to-back home wins, and a big win, 2-0 over fellow strugglers Royston Town in the Southern League Premier Central. The goals coming from Jordon Cooke and Kai Tonge. The result sees them off bottom replaced by Royston Town.

Premier Division of the Peterborough and District League saw Oakham United win 1-0 at home over Leverington Sports, Josaia Raikoso with the goal. Deeping Rangers Reserves made it four wins on the bounce in the league, 3-1 over visitors Moulton Harrox.

To Division 1 and leaders Daniels Reserves drew 2-2 at Oundle Town. Adam Steels and Matty Walker their scorers. Stamford Lions picked up their second win of the season, 3-0 at home to Wisbech Town Reserves with goals from Darius Agyeman, Ryan Brown and Sean Edwards.

Ketton Sports Premiair after drawing 1-1 in normal time lost on penalties to Whetstone Athletic in the Leicestershire and Rutland Intermediate Cup.

Lincolnshire FA County Junior Cup and Skegness Town Reserves had a home walkover against Stamford Bells.

Bourne Town despite taking the lead at home through Aaron Eyett lost 3-1 to Mickleover in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division.

In the United Counties Premier Division North, Blackstones drew 0-0 at Eastwood with Deeping Rangers game postponed after a second pitch inspection following rain.

A disappointing afternoon for Cottesmore as they lost 3-2 at bottom side Ellistown in the Everards Brewery Premier Division despite goals from Max Lowe and Harry Sabberton.

Women’s Football

Stamford AFC’s three game winning run in all competitions has come to an end after losing 3-0 at home to Loughborough Foxes Vixens in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League Premier Division. All the damage done in thirteen first half minutes.

After a positive opening, the visitors served warning on six minutes when they failed to score despite an open goal. The deadlock was broken on 26 minutes with a shot from close range following a corner. The lead was doubled on 34 minutes and a third five minutes later.

Deeping Rangers were beaten 7-2 in the quarter-final stage of the Cambridgeshire Women’s League Cup by. Cambridge Rangers. Kara Butler and Ali Stokoe with their goals.

Oakham United’s game was postponed.

Rugby

The 5.30 game in the Investec Champions Cup saw Leicester Tigers lose away by 39 points to 20 as their hosts La Rochelle ran in six tries in Pool 3.

Stamford despite several players out injured put in a gutsy performance against 4th placed Broadstreet in Regional 2 Midlands East. They lost 18-17 but did pick up a losing bonus point.

Counties 1 Midlands East (North), where Bourne made it three wins in a row with a 28-21 victory over visitors Southwell.

To Counties 3 Midlands East Division (South North) and Stamford College Old Boys in a tight fought game recorded their first win since early October beating Aylestone Athletic 5-3. Liam Greenslade with the only try of the game.

South Leicester conceded their fixture so away walkover for Oakham.

Northampton Saints in Pool 4 beat French side Pau away in the Investec Champions Cup by 35 points to 27 as they scored five tries including two for Australian James Ramm who also received a 20-minute red card in the second period.
