Lincolnshire County Council says over 96% of children in the county due to start primary and infant schools this September were offered a place at their first preference school
slightly up on previous years. Out of nearly 6,500 children in Lincolnshire, 195 children were offered their second choice and 22 children their third.19 children weren't able to be offered a place at their top three and instead were allocated a place at their nearest school with a space available. Parents in Lincolnshire have until the 20th of May to appeal any decision for a school not to offer a place to make sure it's heard before September.
