An exposed knife in Market Deeping and what turned out to be a toy weapon in Stamford. However a 38 year old man was still arrested there.
Armed Police attended Market Deeping and Stamford yesterday, after two separate incidents of concern.
They received reports just after 7.35 yesterday morning, of a man with a large knife in Church Street, Market Deeping. After carrying out a search of the area, officers found a man who they warned about carrying an exposed visible knife on his way to work. They say they’re grateful for the call, and say there’s no risk to anyone in the community.
Meanwhile in Stamford, Police were called to St Paul’s Street just after 5pm following reports a man there had a weapon – it turned out to be a toy. A 38 year old man was arrested – he was wanted on a recall to prison.
