Burst water main in Tallington affects hundreds of homes

A burst water main caused low pressure and water outages across several local communities.

Hundreds of homes east of Stamford were without water or suffer low water pressure through much of Monday. Anglian Water have identified a burst water main at Tallington which is affecting supplies in Uffington, West Deeping, Little Casterton, Ryhall, Belmesthorpe, Barholm, Greatford, parts of Braceborough and East Stamford.

Repair work was carried out and normal supply was restored on Monday evening after water problems began in the early hours of the same day.
