The Stars of Stamford were celebrated last night at the town council’s Annual Town Meeting.
Three awards went to a public vote. Etta Blythe won the young person of the year for her work supporting children with allergies. Sean Jesson was presented with a community champion award for his work on disability football and establishing three sides with one touch football and community group went to Bumps and Beyond for their work supporting local families with babies and young children. The Mayor's Award was presented to Jim Grant for his work supporting the Stamford community from running to being a town guide and supporting neighbours and local organisations.
