People in Stamford will get to have their say on local government reorganisation
in an event organised by Lincolnshire County Council. The town was missed off the initial list but after an appeal by MP Alicia Kearns to hold an event in the town, one will now be held on the morning of Wednesday 24th of September. It is expected to focus on a proposal to join all of the county together and abolish the district councils with no alliance with Rutland. One that the leader of South Kesteven District Council is still keen to explore.
