The conversion of Jules House in Oakham into a Mobi-Hub was approved by Rutland County Council's planning committee last night,
despite ongoing concerns about traffic on Cold Overton Road near the crossing and pedestrian safety. A pedestrian crossing without traffic lights is being proposed, although a full highways assessment of the area may mean major changes to the junction. The application first came to council in September and members of the planning committee were satisfied that improvements to the roads were acceptable to progress the plans. The facility will connect Oakham and Melton with the hospital thanks to levelling up money.
