Lincolnshire Police says next year's increased government funding settlement will allow them to keep the same level of staff and officers
and to provide a level of policing to keep the county safe. Following months of talks with the Home Office, the force has been allocated £100.1 million for next year, an increase of nearly £5,000,000, as well as exceptional financial support worth an extra 12 million which could be carried through for the following two years in recognition of the uniquely challenging circumstances Lincolnshire says it faces. This time last year they were warning of up to 400 job losses and now say they can recruit back to full strength. Chief Constable Paul Gibson says it's been a joint endeavour with the county's Police and Crime Commissioner Marc Jones to secure it. They say the remainder of their funding will still come from the council tax precept which they will announce next month.
