The Dean of Peterborough, whose diocese covers Rutland, says he joins Christians everywhere in sadness at the news of the death of Pope Francis,
but in profound gratitude for his witness to Christ, compassion for the world's poorest and most vulnerable people, and his consistent call for peace and justice. The Very Reverend Chris Dalliston says he prays for Roman Catholic sisters and brothers, especially in the area and for Francis, and that may he rest in peace and glory.
