Police in Uppingham have charged the driver with failing to stop and driving with no licence or insurance after finding him hiding in a patch of nettles.
He abandoned his vehicle after officers gave chase following reports of suspicious activity. A sizeable quantity of Class A drugs, cash and what police describe as a rather busy mobile phone were recovered and the vehicle was seized. This is one of six vehicles which Uppingham’s Neighbourhood Officers stopped in the last month believed to be connected to drug supply
