Tourism businesses and individuals from Rutland have made the shortlist in Awards for Excellence
which are accredited by Visit England thanks to a partnership of Discover Rutland with Destination Lincolnshire. The shortlist will now be visited by mystery shoppers to get a true picture of their service. Chair of Discover Rutland, Jason Allen, has also been nominated for the Outstanding Contribution award. Mary Copley from Discover Rutland says their partnership with Lincolnshire offers great potential.
‘Rutland has not been able to participate in the awards previously because we've not been part of a larger area. So to have the opportunity to even enter has been great and to have so many successful finalists in the region is really positive, especially because it was quite a short turn around. So they didn't have long to do this so they’ve really been making great headways’.
