Rutland County Council has extended free travel on the county's Call Connect
bookable minibus services until the end of March next year. It's thanks to a new local authority bus grant from the Department of Transport and so far over 17,000 passengers have used the service, with 20 villages getting public transport for the first time thanks to the way passengers book a right to where they need. This is in addition to the service buses operated by Centre Bus and Bland’s in the county, including the R1 Rutlander service which operates hourly.
