A fundraiser at Rutland Water for an organisation that assists the police with missing people has been cancelled
as the team were needed on an operation. Volunteers from Leicestershire Search and Rescue were due to be taking part in a triathlon style event at Sykes Lane today. Instead all of their team and vehicles are needed for an ongoing vulnerable missing person search. They will have to reschedule their fundraiser to a date in the near future. It costs around £25,000 to fund their activities each year.
