The funeral of a former mayor of Oakham takes place this afternoon at All Saints Church.
Joy Greg helped found Citizens Advice in Rutland, helped run the night school in Oakham which taught primary age children good citizenship and respect and chaired the Rutland Arts Theatre Society for several years. Her portrait also hangs in Rutland County Council's offices after she was voted the face of Rutland for her contribution to the local community. She lived to 95.
