There’s an afternoon of fun on Stamford Recreation Ground today for primary age children as Stamford Town Council works with theatre groups from the town for the annual Stamford Spooktacular.
It takes place between 1:30pm and 3:30pm and includes singing, dancing and games with the Halloween theme. Organiser Nicola Sandall says there's always lots to get involved with.
‘Some of my theatre group come along. We all get in costume now this really is geared at the age of four to eleven year olds. We have an interactive quiz that they get to meet the characters and find the quiz answers, which when you put the words together make a word for the prize. There are competitions, there's a mask competition and you can join in some spooky dancing and have a bit of fun and that's 1:30pm till 3:30pm on the town rec.’
