The leader of Rutland County Council is thanking everyone who sent messages of support
after the special meeting which called her leadership into question. Councillor Gale Waller said although it was uncomfortable at times, a challenge like that is an important part of our constitution. She says by signing a letter with Leicester and Leicestershire back in January she saw it as buying us some time and giving us a voice in local government reorganisation, rather than waiting for other authorities to make the decision for the county.
