Today is Lincolnshire Day, and as well as flags flying across the county, a free banner exhibition featuring local schools and the WI is being launched at Priory Church Deeping St. James.
The banners celebrate life in Lincoln and take inspiration from the church banners used during the Lincolnshire Rising of 1536. The colourful artwork demonstrates what Lincolnshire means to the groups taking part, along with their hopes for the future. The exhibition is open from today until Sunday between 10 and 5, and features work from Market Deeping Community Primary, Baston Primary, The Deepings School, and Deeping St James WI.
They all attended workshops from professional artists from Lumo throughout last month.
