Lincolnshire Police have linked the theft of a tipper truck from Bourne with the gates being rammed at Ruskington Garden Centre.
The incidents happened last Friday night into Saturday morning, just before midnight. Thieves stole a white Peugeot tipper truck and diesel from a business premises on Spalding Road in Bourne.
Officers found the tipper truck at around 10 to 2 on Saturday morning in a barn off Fen Road in Ruskington. As officers arrived at the barn, offenders fled in a silver Volkswagen Touareg, which then went on to ram through the gates of Ruskington Garden Centre. The occupants then abandoned the vehicle and ran from the scene, police believe, into a nearby housing estate.
Officers are looking for any dashcam or CCTV footage that may help them. They'd also like to hear from anyone who saw a Peugeot tipper truck, registration NU71TCK, travelling between Bourne and Ruskington in the very early hours of last Saturday morning.
They would also like to hear from anyone who saw a Volkswagen Touareg without number plates being driven in the area, and specifically on Fen Road in Ruskington.
