Peppers A Safe Place, a local charity which tackles loneliness and aims to boost mental health with social activities has received £20,000 from the Severn Trent community fund.
Their safe and welcoming hubs in Oakham and Melton Mowbray host a wide range of free drop in sessions and activities such as chair yoga, wellbeing walks, crafts and gardening and the donation will go towards the continuation of their work.
The fund from Severn Trent sees around £2 million every year reaching communities.
