It's a week to go until Lincolnshire County Council asking the people of Stamford their views on local government reorganisation
and the event is at Stamford Library takes place next Wednesday morning between 9:30am and 11:00am. South Kesteven District Council, meanwhile, has also published its position online and is asking people in the district to tell them what they think. Meanwhile, Rutland and Stamford MP says a survey she conducted has 2/3 of people in her constituency who responded want councils to stay as they are and keep district councils in South Kesteven and Harborough and Rutland as a small unitary authority. The government is expecting full proposals from local authorities by the end of November, with the new larger authorities to begin operating from the 1st of April 2028.
