Rutland County Councillors will once again meet tonight to debate the future of the county and local government reorganisation.
The second special council meeting is being held at Catmos with Rutland County Council and the seven Leicestershire districts calling for further meetings with Leicestershire County Council to help find the best way forward.
Currently Rutland has stated a partnership with Melton and Charnwood would be their preferred option despite calls to look east and join with Stamford by some residents. Lincolnshire County Council however doesn't mention any potential link with Rutland in its devolution proposals, which are most likely to see that county split north and south.
