Rutland and Stamford's MP has launched a petition against plans to merge our areas with large local authorities.
After announcements this week in local government reorganisation. Rutland will join most of Leicestershire, whilst the city boundary is being expanded to include part of the Harborough District. In Stamford, most of Lincolnshire will be controlled by one council, which again is separate to an expanded city of Lincoln. It's also an option to register your support for the plans, all on Alicia Kearn's website. The MP plans to present a petition in parliament in September.
