The King's birthday honours have recognised several people in the Rutland and Stamford Sound area.
Paul Livingston from Rutland is made a CBE for services to the defence industry. He is Chief Executive of Lockheed Martin UK. Rory O'Connor also receives a CBE for services to the Royal Air Force. He lives locally and is charity director for RAFA, Professor Steve Barnett, has made an OBE for services to the NHS. He is currently chair of the Northwest Anglia Foundation Trust, which includes Stamford and Rutland Hospital, and Anne Cowan is awarded a British Empire Medal for services to the community in Manton.
