Local playwright's new play about vandalism

A play based on the true story of vandalism in Stamford is open at Nottingham Playhouse.

The Market Deeping Model Railway Club shows the heartbreak challenges and public support after teenagers broke into Stamford Welland Academy in 2019 and destroyed large parts of the exhibition.

It's been written by Whissendine playwright William Ivory, who also wrote Made in Dagenham and The Great Escaper, a film about Normandy starring Michael Caine. It runs throughout most of this month.
