It's Merchant Navy Day and the Red Duster will be flying in the grounds of Oakham Castle after a short ceremony this morning.
The public is invited and if you're going along, you're asked to be there by 10:20am ready for 10:30am start. It's to honour and remember the sacrifices of Merchant Navy seafarers and was established in 2000 and particularly focuses on World War 2 when the Navy bravely kept vital supply lines open for the nation.
