New spring flower show in Stamford set for 2027 with Mary Berry amongst visiting stars

A new spring flower show weekend will take place at Burghley House in Stamford in April 2027 after the success of the first two summer Rutland Flower Shows, with Mary Berry amongst visiting stars.

Local company Rock Rose Events, the founders of the August show at Rutland Showground which was attended by 26,000 visitors this year, have announced that the three day event will take place in the parkland of the iconic stately home.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to visit the South Gardens, which are rarely open to the public.

The event will place from Friday 16th- Sunday 18th April and Mary Berry will visit on the Friday to talk about her new book, My Gardening Life, and Adam Frost from Gardener’s World will attend on Saturday.

Rutland Nursery and the Nursery Exhibitors Organisation (NEO) are sponsoring the show will which bring together show gardens and boarders, which are now open for entry, dining with Feast & Foliage and a Grand Floral Marquee, as well as local nurseries, Plant Villages, shopping and talks.
