Rutland Police have been using the bank holiday weekend to check on road safety and cross-border criminality.
Operation Numbers sees officers enforcing the fatal 4 which is checking mobile phones aren’t being used handheld, seatbelts are being worn as well as enforcing speeds and checking for drug and drink driving. A speed gun was used in Great Casterton and Thorpe By Water where they’ve been particular concerns recently. Police motorbikes and road police officers in plain vehicles were also out.
