Architects have revealed how Rutland's new Medi-Tech Centre could look if planning permission is granted.
Construction could begin in November on the two story building at Oakham Enterprise Park, which is designed to complement Rutland's existing health and care services as it brings together clinicians, educators, researchers, and health technology businesses in one location.
The purpose-built centre, if approved, will expand access to outpatient care, diagnostic tests and scans and planned treatments. It could even house an MRI scanner. It would also provide space for education, research, and innovation, helping say the county council and partners patient care locally to shape the future of rural healthcare while supporting skilled jobs and economic growth across the county.
The new facility is supported by three and a half million pounds of government local regeneration fund investments
