Police in Rutland and Cambridgeshire have been working together to target cross-border criminals bringing drugs into Rutland.
Over the course of a two day operation earlier this month there were a number of arrests as well as several traffic offences enforced. One vehicle failed to stop for Peterborough officers and then it travelled to Oakham where the driver was arrested for drug driving, driving with no insurance and failing to stop for police. Inside his vehicle was a stolen wallet belonging to an Oakham resident. Another individual was arrested for immigration offences after being stopped in a vehicle connected to drug supply.
