Rutland Police say they've stopped three uninsured drivers this week
in the Oakham area in just 24 hours, resulting in vehicles being seized and drivers receiving points and fined. One driver blamed their bank, another their partner and the third was planning to take out insurance later that evening. Officers say aside from the risks to themselves and their passengers, uninsured drivers are a risk to us all.
Water supplies are returning to the Stamford area, after a burst water main left hundreds of homes from Tickencote to Tallington with low pressure, or in many cases, no water. Supplies are returning, but if you have no water still, you're advised to use a new bottled water collection point at the Normanton Car Park of Rutland Water, although the Morrisons collection point will remain open.
