The amount of public electric vehicle charging points is set to increase
in Rutland after the council's cabinet agreed to plans for at least 23 new power sockets by the end of January 2026. The scheme is funded by the Government and the locations have been determined, with help from a survey earlier this year from residents who either own electric cars or are thinking of getting one. This move, along with upcoming changes to buses has helped make greener transport targets for the council.
