It hopes a radio play being heard in Oakham's All Saints Church next month will bring generations together
at the event in the same way a friendship is forged with a large age gap in the play. Playwright and actor Henry Dawe is working with Oakham School to raise money for Age UK on Saturday 4th of October. Henry hopes the afternoon will also build local connections.
‘When Age UK Leicestershire & Rutland said that they'd like to have a connection with the event, Voluntary Action Oakham School took it over. So Monica's been a tremendous ally and pupils from the school will be there connecting with local older people and we hope very much that both generations will get a lot out of the event’.
