Road closures begin in Stamford this evening to allow the Mid Lent Fair to begin pulling into town
and it's the area around the Meadows first. Bath Row, Gooches Court, Castle Dyke, Red Lion Square, Cattle Market car park and Castle Street will be closed from 5:00 PM tonight. Broad Street, Red Lion Street, Crown Street, Star Lane and Newgate need to be cleared by midday tomorrow. The fair opens at 5:00pm on Monday evening, with the ceremony in front of the Waltzers on Broad Street.
