Leicestershire Police Federation has welcomed the decision that Rutland and Leicestershire Police and Crime Commissioner has stepped up his bid to the panel to a £15 increase on a band D property to the precept to help fund frontline officers.
It's the maximum allowed without a referendum. Chair of the Federation, Andy Spence, is calling for Rupert Matthews to commit to giving it all to the force and not divert any into prevention schemes and charitable initiatives, as demand for frontline policing is continually rising,
