Rutland County Council is moving forward with plans to reform the county's bus network,
including proposals to introduce more demand led mini bus services to replace the R2. Although the R1 would still run, passenger numbers on the county’s buses have more than halved since before the pandemic if plans were approved by the cabinet next Tuesday. The council would also consult with the Kings School and families who use the R4 Uppingham to Peterborough service, which currently transports around a dozen children there. Then you demand led service could begin by summer next year.
