Rutland Fair Trade Christmas markets in Oakham yesterday had record attendance with over 1000 people visiting over the five hours of the event in Oakham Castle.
It started back in 2008 and also marks 30 years of the fair trade movement across the country. Polly Swann from the Rutland fair trade forum speaking at the event yesterday said they had a great day.
‘Really impressed with how many local people have come in, especially this morning, extremely busy. So it's great to see people supporting some fair trade and local producers’.
