Rutland Local Government Reorganisation Meeting - Listen Again

Around 180 people at Victoria Hall, Oakham on Monday evening

Recorded at Victoria Hall, Oakham on Monday 24th March

The meeting was Chaired and hosted by Alicia Kearns MP, the leader of South Kesteven District Council also attended.  The meeting focused on options that have been presented that involve Rutland.  Out of around 180 people there in a show of hands, all but a handful backed the proposal for Rutland to merge with North Kesteven, South Kesteven and South Holland.  Two preferred the North Leicestershire model (Charnwood, Melton and Rutland) and six were undecided.

A meeting to discuss Stamford's future is being held, again by Alicia Kearns MP, at Stamford Arts Centre on Thursday 27th March at 5.30pm.
