Rutland Police is warning drivers not to assume their insurance will cover them to drive other cars after a driver was reported for driving his partner's car in Uppingham last night.
Officers pulled him over as he entered the town after he was seen driving slightly in excess of the speed limit. He believed he was insured as he had fully comprehensive cover on his own car and had taken the decision to drive as his partner had been drinking. The car was seized and the driver was reported.
