This morning Caldecott's long running pancake race will take place. At Uffington after school there's all you can eat pancakes in the village hall. At Ketton Methodist Church on Saturday, nine and a half pints of batter mix was used in their annual charity event and hundreds of pounds raised for the Alzheimer's Society. The cooks there shared their tips with Rutland & Stamford Sound for a successful pancake.
"The pan's got to be very hot, got to use lard. There's only one batter mix, it's flour, eggs and milk."
