Rutland Water beach

Ten tipper loads of sand has been levelled out at the Rutland Water beach.

The work, which was finished yesterday, is in preparation for seven-day-a-week opening from this Saturday of England's first inland bathing water location. It'll be open daily at Sykes Lane, Empingham, until the end of August. It was also the first to hold both a green and blue flag. Water quality is tested weekly and is consistently excellent.
