The Rutland Water Beach opens seven days a week from Saturday until the end of August.
It's been mostly weekends up to now, although it was open throughout half term in May. It's the UK's first inland bathing beach and the first inland location in England to be awarded the Blue Flag and Seaside Award. It first opened in 2014 and has been created by a delivery of play sand.
This week 10 tip loads were delivered ready to top up the shoreline. Lifeguards are on patrol every afternoon from now on and in the hotter weather Rutland Medical Solutions are also on site with daily medical cover.
