The gym at the Meres Leisure Centre in Grantham reopens to the public today
following a £240,000 refit. Team GB swimmer Freya Colbert cut the ribbon, accompanied by members of South Kesteven District Council and swimmers from Deepings and Grantham clubs. The old equipment had been in use for 10 years and it's been replaced with 17 new gym stations. The transformation took place over just two weeks. Freya’s first gym session was on the old equipment and she says the new equipment is definitely top tier.
