A knitted exhibition opens at Peterborough Cathedral today, which was made by a group of crafters from different countries for the 80th anniversary of D Day.
The Oundle Yarn Bombers helped make the Longest Yarn, and the Cottesmore Military Wives are singing alongside. the exhibition at the Cathedral on Thursday evening. It's a work of 80 metres representing 80 years and the 80 days of the Battle of Normandy. It's broken up into 80 1 metre panels that were constructed around the world, from as far as Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, and across Europe. The exhibition runs from today until 31 March.
