Visitors from around the world flocked to Rutland for the Global BirdFair at the weekend.
The 3 day event at Lyndon Top featured a range of stages, exhibitors, workshops and talks with a focus on preventing island extinctions.
The celebration also threw a spotlight on Rutland’s Water own wildlife conservation work and the hugely successful Osprey Project.
Tim Appleton who created the Rutland Water Nature Reserve when the reservoir was built and coordinated the reintroduction of ospreys organises the event alongside penny Robinson and a team of volunteers.
