Over £40,000 worth of damage was caused to the Volunteer Training Centre at Rutland Water in a break in.
The attempted robbery which took place on Sunday the 27th of October at the facility near Hamilton, saw thieves load items onto a lorry but when it became stuck in the mud they set it on fire to reduce any traceability. The building and facilities are operated by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. Anyone with any information relating to the incident is being asked to contact Rutland Police.
